OVERVIEW
The Director of Sales is responsible for driving sales objectives and revenue results for the assigned
geographic region. This role will develop sales and training strategies and sales forecasts. In addition, the
Director of Sales is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with florists to grow the book of
business. This position will lead and develop a sales team of Field Account Managers, Technology Sales
Specialist and Marketplace Inside Sales Representatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Manage, mentor, and provide guidance, motivation, and training to help the sales team meet sales
quotas and objectives.
  • Ensure sales team members follow company policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain long lasting, strong relationships with members while partnering with them to
better understand their business objectives and needs.
  • Manage membership retention to reduce churn and maintain current revenue stream.
  • Increase sales in technology, E-commerce, and delivery service to members.
  • Focus to understand the florist's business operations to offer solutions to leverage profitability and
ROI.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
  • Manage team performance with CRM data tools.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related sales revenue results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members on highly visible strategic projects to improve
overall member experience.
  • Maintain a high level of communications with FTD members.
  • Manage holiday readiness with top fulfillment partners.
  • Negotiate Incoming/Outgoing Order Volume Agreements to capture additional revenue.
  • Drive company's overall sales objectives and profitability.
  • Engage in business reviews and forecasting meetings.
  • Stay abreast of the industry specific trends and competitive landscapes. Maintain professional and
technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications,
establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance various sales solutions to maximize sales revenue.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field; 10+ years of sales experience; 5+ years of
experience managing a team of sales representatives required.
  • Ability to prepare detailed and persuasive proposals.
  • Strong leadership skills to coach, develop and motivate a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, manage conflict and unique business problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive professional relationships.
  • Strong verbal, and written communication and relationship building skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, virtual environment requiring self-motivation and adaptability.
  • Capable in MS Office Suite (Including MS Teams).
  • Willing and able to travel overnight in assigned territory.
