Job description
The Program Management Director is responsible for managing the inventory analysts, planners, and Program Managers, to ensure proper inventory levels, inventory mix, and overall efficiencies of all inventory management programs. Assist in providing on-the-job training for operating procedures, as noted in the individual training log. Specific job responsibilities include the following:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Manage the inventory program activities. -Coordinate customer requirements with on-site managers. -Identify opportunities to expand business relationships. -Provide Leadership in developing purchasing strategies. -Monitor contracted service levels to ensure customer support focus. -Develop and maintain relationships with OEM to ensure consistent supply. -Identify inventory acquisition opportunities to enhance consignment service levels and profitability. -Direct and develop staff to achieve business objectives in fiscal year plan. -Monitor industry and identify market trends to anticipate areas of opportunity. -Provide the Program Team with on-the-job training for operating procedures, related to their duties. -Develop training requirements to ensure planning methods are utilized effectively. -All other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Masters degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or twelve years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - 8-10 years experience in aviation industry or material management - Experience in negotiation and customer support - Ability to maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors - 5 years of direct supervisory experience - Supply chain management experience required
