At International Packaging, a client of Colonial Park Partners, we are expanding our team and hiring a Director of Operations for our Minneapolis, Minnesota location.

The Director of Operations will have full day-to-day responsibility for production operations and provide strategic direction, leadership, and development of the team. The Director will be responsible for establishing an employee-friendly, high-performance work culture using Lean manufacturing principles and ensuring the successful completion of job orders.

Job Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000 Salary, Bonus, Paid time off, and health Insurance.

As the Director of Operations, you will:

· Oversee and participate in recruitment, hiring and training of production employees

· Oversee schedules and assignments for responsible areas

· Oversee jobs; ensuring production, performance and quality standards are met

· Oversee inventory levels and recommend stock quantity for regularly used materials

· Oversee preventative and regular maintenance schedules

· Review production reports to ensure quality, labor hour, and delivery standards are met

· Participate in long-range planning, and assists with business operating goals, expansion efforts, and new product introductions

· Participate in developing operational budgets

· Identify and share training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills

· Deliver progress reports and production schedules to management as requested

· Conduct performance evaluations

· Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills

· Demonstrable ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

· Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

· Thorough understanding of polices, and best practices used in production environments

· Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals

Education/Experience:

· 7+ years of experience in production or manufacturing management environment

· Bachelors degree in relevant field is required; Masters degree preferred

· SQF/ISO/GMP experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
