Plateau Healthcare is focused on private duty nursing services, in complex medical home settings as well as in client home settings. We are seeking a Director of Nursing who can provide effective management and sound leadership to our amazing team!
The ideal Director of Nursing (DON) should be a leader, problem solver, efficient, organized, and an all-around people-person with a positive approach to overseeing the nursing and clinical care staff of our company.

Main Job Responsibilities:
- Overseeing of the Nursing Department and supervise all nursing staff
- Updating Policy and Procedure and Implementing new procedures and training Nurses on policies
- Instructs nursing staff on state regulation, policies, and procedures
- Train and orient new nurses
- Oversee the resident processes: Selection, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care based upon regulations and established clinical best practices
- Participates during the survey process with MDH both clinical and administrative department
- Planning services provided to residents and supervising their care
- Ensuring the efficiency and capacity of the nursing department to ensure quality of care
- Coordinating and completing assigned projects to effectively support the immediate and longer-range objectives of the company
- Maintain high standards of care for all patients
- Manage patient’s data and medical records as confidential records
- Communicating with doctors, case managers, clients, family members about patient plan of care
- Ensuring quality of staff and motivating them to provide excellent quality of services
- Monitors and maintains resident charts and progress notes.
- Participate in client care processes as needed
- Prepare progress notes and summaries of care
- Supervises, educates, and coaches other nursing personnel/care-giving staff
- Assist with staffing issues/requirements for nursing department
- Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current licensure with the State Board of Nursing in MN
- 3 – 5 years of clinical and leadership experience in nursing with one year experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility, preferred
- US Work Authorization
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Valid driver’s license
- Pass the MN DHS Background Study check
- Reliable transportation / Auto Insurance
- Proven experience in skilled nursing environment with at least one year of successful experience as a Unit Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing OR Director of Nursing (DON)
- Knowledge of federal and state survey process
- Wound Care Certification (preferred, but not required)
- Commitment to team-oriented outcomes and quality care; and
- Demonstrated competencies in health care management and operations, quality management, staff development, resident, and family support systems
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with the disable population
- Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality.
- Treat clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image.
- Ability to travel between Houses
- Ability to be on-call after hours and on-call on weekends
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent Interpersonal, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices, methods, and tools
- Strong teamwork mentality

- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat & email applications such as Outlook
- Fast-learner with strong attention to detail
- Multi-task orientated
- Knowledge in medical electronic Health Records.
- Covid Vaccination (preferred)
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday.
- On call after hours and weekends

Pay: $85,000.00 - $102,000.00 per year
