Job Title: Director of Marketing Automation
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate is an expert end user of Salesforce with a proven ability to oversee the Foundation’s Email Marketing Program while architecting and championing new, scalable marketing automation programs. In addition to a team of three responsible for executing email campaigns, this digital marketer will own the Marketing Automation Platform and collaborate with internal stakeholders (including Marketing, Communications, CRM and Web Development) to effectively plan, automate and improve constituent journeys throughout the life cycle.
Focused on maintaining engagement through implementing a lead generation approach, this role will understand business priorities & build recommendations for global marketing campaign strategy & tactical support, connecting to the other digital marketing tactics for a connected user experience.
This person will also be responsible for supervising the workflow of two junior team members.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform including customer data strategy and collaborate with marketing, analytics & web development teams on enhancements.
- Create a roadmap for marketing automation, contact data & engagement email marketing strategy.
- Plan and develop personalized, scalable, automated marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce, Adobe Analytics, landing pages, etc.
- Lead on developing marketing journeys and lead scoring strategies, working hands-on within platforms and across multiple teams.
- Partner with technical team members to leverage and integrate data to improve the constituent experience.
- Create documentation and maintain a high level of data organization and quality assurance in a fast-moving, high-volume environment.
- Establish KPIs, iterate and test, and report on results to drive business improvements.
- Evaluate and provide guidance for best practices around automation strategy to both internal marketing automation team and other internal project teams at the Foundation.
- Lead collaborations to determine automation user experience needs and requirements.
- Interpret and visualize Salesforce marketing campaign data to support key decision making and opportunities for improvement.
- Work directly with cross functional stakeholders to set and manage expectations for marketing automation campaign strategy, while planning for paths of continuous improvements.
- Partner with marketing leadership to develop two junior team members
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven success in strategic and operational marketing automation in roles with increasing responsibilities
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud expert
- Proficient in SFMC Journey and Automation Studio
- Expert in AMPscript
- Expert in HTML & CSS
- Proficient in SQL
- Experience with journey API development and making Rest API calls
- Proven CRM or marketing automation platform experience with a background in supporting complex marketing automation campaigns
- Success in designing and implementing A/B and multivariate tests.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong creative and strategic problem-solving skills required.
- Experience overseeing workflow and delegation
- Demonstrated ability to develop team members
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $130k - $150k. In addition to salary, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (MJFF) offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
