Job description
Lead efforts to increase, manage and retain the major gift portfolio and annual giving programs of OCCC including donor relations, cultivation, fundraising, campaign development and stewardship.

Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum of four (4) years of relevant successful experience in major and/or planned gift fundraising, or related “high level” sales experience.

Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to understand the needs and interests of leadership and major gift donors in order to develop sustainable relationships

Ability to use functions such as receptions, special events/gala and ancillary clubs to convey business case, inspire prospects, garner interest leading to successful fundraising cycle and closed gifts

Interest in positively impacting lives, promoting workforce preparedness through certificates, associates degrees, first-generation Higher Ed education

Demonstrated leadership and the ability to successfully manage multi-functional or diverse areas

Successful experience in making cold calls as well as developing cultivation and solicitation strategies

Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines and to prioritize projects

Understand importance of timely research/wealth screening, contact reports, pipeline reports, queries, moves management systems

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create donor reports, collateral content and write compelling copy

Demonstrated presentation and verbal skills

Must be willing to travel, work nights and/or weekends on occasion and attend special events
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
This position requires the person to frequently move about the OCCC campus and off-site outreach locations.

This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to administration, faculty, staff, students, and others to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.

This position requires the person to frequently remain in a standing and stationary position.

This position requires the person to frequently operate a computer, other office machinery, and mobile devices to perform the essential functions of the position.

This position requires the person to frequently operate equipment that involves repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

This position requires the person to perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.

3. VISUAL ACUITY:
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.

4. WORKING CONDITIONS
This position performs the essential functions in an indoor office setting, in a virtual, remote environment or combination.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in higher education fundraising

Knowledge of and experience with the Oklahoma philanthropic community

Successful experience in major gifts and grant writing.
Required Training Work Hours
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with evenings and weekends as necessary.
