Oregonic Farms has an exceptional opportunity for an entrepreneurial, motivated, and knowledgeable individual with experience in grow-house plant production. We are seeking a head of cultivation to join our management team to lead the strategic direction and day-to-day activities of growing operations. The head of cultivation will have expertise that encompasses grow-houses system design, plant nutrition, crop and pest management, grow-houses IT systems, software, sensors and controls, and staff training. Includes post- production, up to trimming. The candidate must also understand the commercial cannabis marketplace. Our grow-house will grow a market-driven combination of marijuana for sale into the local and regional marketplace. The position will be responsible for supporting company expansion goals and managing the entire operation of cannabis grow located in 1 area of Oregon.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the entire growing process from seeding to transplanting to insect control
• Oversee and direct the entire grow-house staff
• Determine staffing needs and support recruiting and hiring process
• Be fully familiar with multi zone, computer controlled climate systems, aeroponic, and traditional soil systems
• Responsible for product quality
• Obtain and manage an OLCC standards and certification with metrics
• Keep up with the latest pesticide changes
• Manage post production up to trimming.

Job Requirements

• Growing as a Head of Cultivation for 3 to 5 years or experience as an apprentice for at least 1 year for commercial grow
• Knowledge of large scale commercial plant cultivation including nutrient requirements, mediums, light requirements, temperature control, airflow, etc
• Knowledge of plant diseases, insects and fungi/mold, as well as plant treatment options
• Must have knowledge of Metrc
• Must know Oregon OLCC rules and regulations regarding cultivation.
• Physical Aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of a grow-house.
• Must have accountability, proactive behavior, self-motivation, and strong attention to detail
• Must be 21 years old. Must have an OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
