Essential Functions:
- Manage and lead a team of Engineers and Operators and have a thorough understanding of current and future projects.
- Attend client facing meetings such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s), and Project Kick-off and Project Status meetings. This may require travel to customer sites throughout the country.
- Speak with confidence and intelligently on the topics that we are executing on in our project work, specifically as we move further in the direction of Cloud based technologies.
Thorough understanding in the Microsoft space, i.e. SharePoint, Lync, Skype, Office 365. - Solid understanding of local and wide area network concepts- IP routing protocols and topologies (OSP, BGP, MPLS), switching technologies (VLANs, Spanning Tree).
- Scripting experience utilizing Windows PowerShell, Windows Script Host and VBScript.
- Expertise in SCCM 2003, 2007, 2012 implementation, stabilization and operations (OSD/Forefront/Application Deployment/Patching/Baselines).
- Endpoint encryption with Trend and Microsoft Bitlocker.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend current and emerging tools, techniques, and technologies as related to workstation and device management.
- Research solutions, develop action plans, create timelines and implement deployment package solutions for large, complex projects.
- Work with cross-functional groups (Application Services, Application Development, and Infrastructure) to ensure solutions meet performance and reliability goals.
- Lead the development of standard operational procedures and design documentation following best practices.
- Lead efforts to document and share technical knowledge within team and with other support teams.
- Take ownership of test lab implementations, including developing System Acceptance Testing processes and procedures.
- Thoroughly informed and able to track and understand our Infrastructure and VMware projects.
- Maintains constantly high qualitative and quantitative output to ensure SLA’s are being met individually and for the team.
- Provide pre-sales support assistance in a customer facing role.
- Personnel management and a thorough understanding of resource availability and allocation.
- Performance appraisals, continuous feedback, coaching and counseling as needed.
Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
- 7-10 years’ experience in an applicable technology environment and a minimum of 3 years prior Management/Director experience required.
- 7-10 years’ experience with the following activities
- Designing, implementing, and supporting all technologies on the Microsoft Platform for large enterprise environments (10,000+ seats)
- Designing, integrating, supporting and troubleshooting company LAN’s & WAN’s and wireless networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware.
- Storage Area Network (SAN) technologies (Dell EqualLogic/Compellent, HP, IBM, NetApp, etc.)
- Backup technologies (Veeam, Backup Exec, Asigra, etc.)
- Experience in spectrum analysis and solutions design.
- Performs enterprise wide technology and product road mapping.
- Performs environmental health checks to stabilize the end user computing ecosystem using industry best practices.
- Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related field desired.
- Industry Certifications such as MCSE, VMware, PMP etc…highly desired.
- Knowledge and/or experience with ITIL Foundation or other process methodology a plus.
- Expert use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills
