Ascend Career Services is partnering with Community Services Group (CSG) to hire a Direct Support Professional at their Bloomsburg, PA location. CSG was founded in 1972 with the goal of providing quality community-based intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) and mental health services in Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our specialized programs are designed to meet the needs of the individuals we serve and help them reach their full potential. We take pride in empowering individuals and promoting independence and wellness.

Weekly work schedule - day, middle and third shifts 7 days a week available, exact schedules to be negotiated

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures individuals’ health, safety, and welfare; enhances the quality of individuals’ lives; and supports community inclusion.
• Participates in the development and implementation of each individual’s Support Plan.
• Provides supervision as determined in the individuals’ support plans.
• Assists individuals in the development of appropriate behavioral, social, money management, housekeeping, hygiene, and other skills necessary to reach their highest level of potential.
• Administers medication and treatment as permitted under regulations
• Completes and updates all daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Transports individuals in personal and/or company vehicles for community outings or scheduled appointments
• Works independently with minimal supervision in field location assignments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License, good driving record, and reliable transportation
• Able to pass all necessary background checks prior to employment
• Must be able to work flexible hours to meet individual’s and program’s needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
