About the Role:
The Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (“DEI”) will join the TreeHouse Foods, Inc. ESG team as an instrumental leader in driving “S” pillar initiatives, including the DEI enterprise strategy, helping create a culture where employees can be their authentic selves and further position TreeHouse as an employer of choice in the communities we operate in.
  • Develop, drive, and measure a comprehensive DEI strategy that amplifies our purpose and values, reinforces our culture, and ultimately drives engagement.
  • Work collaboratively, deliver impact through strong interpersonal skills and rapport with the broader ESG and HR teams, cross-functional partners, DEI Council and local champions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to successfully integrate and operationalize DEI in a variety of areas, including but not limited to talent acquisition, talent management, organizational development, team effectiveness, work life effectiveness, total rewards, health & well-being, employee relations, learning, leadership development, communications, and performance management.
  • Lead, enable, and support company-sponsored Employee Resource Groups (“ERGs”) to ensure alignment with business and strategy objectives.
  • Evaluate existing initiatives, programs, and policies to make recommended additions and enhancements to promote a more authentically diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Research and maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
  • Develop and lead internal trainings to aid in DEI related initiatives.
Important Details: This is a hybrid position working in the Oak Brook office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with the option to work remote on Mondays and Fridays. Must have the flexibly to travel, as needed (up to 20%).
About You:
You’ll fit right in if you have:
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources or related experience required, with at least three (3) years specializing in equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, diversity programs, and employee relations.
  • Master’s degree, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
  • Certification in diversity, equity & inclusion, preferred.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience overseeing and analyzing company demographics, assessing trends, and providing data-informed insights.
