Come join our Dining Services team as a Part-Time Diet Aid!

This position performs a variety of Food Service duties including serving residents, interpreting menus, and cleaning and sanitizing.

Diet Aide Responsibilities Include:

• Load food, supplies, and dishes onto carts to take up to the assigned floor kitchen/dining room
• Set tables in the dining room
• Prepare and pass beverages
• Log food temperatures as instructed
• Serve food to the residents in the dining room
• Set up room trays for delivery
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain floor kitchen/dining room equipment
• Gathers dirty dishes from floor kitchen/dining room and loads them onto carts to return to the main kitchen
• Stack, separate, and put dirty dishes/silverware through the dishwasher
• Restock food, supplies, and dishes in the floor kitchen/dining room
• Prepare nourishments and snacks

Skills/ Requirements

• Current valid Food Handler card required
• High school diploma or GED at a minimum; or working on it
• Genuine desire to work with seniors
• Heartfelt compassion for this line of work
• Upbeat and engaging personality
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Maintains general sanitary and safety practices
