About this role:

KDC’s Development & Marketing team is looking to grow with the addition of an energetic Development & Marketing Coordinator to help meet annual goals. This position will support all aspects of fundraising and marketing as the team secures donations and promotes the KDC brand. The ideal candidate is a team player who is organized, proactive, asks questions, and is successful at multitasking. In
this role, you’ll get to:

Execute all aspects of donation processing in partnership with Development and Finance, including gift acceptance and coding, accurate data entry and CRM (Abila) management, and timely gift acknowledgement. At times, volume of donations will require heightened productivity (around events and end-of-year).

  • Support fundraising events managed by Development Manager; specifically, implement planning and logistics around vendor coordination, silent and live auctions, print materials, event platform, registration, volunteers, donor acknowledgement, and post-event close out.
  • Provide administrative support around departmental mailings (e.g., appeals/solicitations, thank you letters/cards, newsletters, donor communications)
  • Provide general support for marketing projects and initiatives, including intranet, Swag Shop/Merch Store, fulfillment of agency-wide print needs, and program newsletters.
  • Maintain positive rapport with KDC program staff to best support their development and marketing needs.

We are looking for people who have:

  • At least two years of experience in an administrative or development role with a demonstrated ability to take on increased responsibility
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of CRM software/donor databases.
  • Self-starter with strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Customer service mindset is a must.
  • Familiarity with KDC and/or Human Services is preferred.
  • Willingness to work occasional nights and/or weekends.

The physical requirements for this role are:

  • Moderate travel in Massachusetts required.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent phone and computer use.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
