COMPANY SUMMARY:

Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana’s (JANI) purpose is to inspire and prepare youth to achieve economic freedom through financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurial experiences.

POSITION:

The Development Manager will manage fundraising and events as designated in Allen County assuring that quality service is provided to JA customers while meeting organizational goals. This position is 40 hours per week and is based out of Allen County in the JANI office.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

DEVELOPMENT

o Manage Annual Campaign and Partnership campaign goals as established by Director.

o Research and identify past and new corporate and individual donor opportunities to raise new business revenue goals as well as maintain loyal donors. Provide the necessary information including proposals, partnership tools, etc. for solicitation.

o Provide follow up and report back information to funders as needed and implement cultivation and stewardship strategies.

ALLEN COUNTY EVENTS – Golf Events, Online Auction, and Play For JA Bowling Events

o Inspire and manage event committees and/or staff teams in carrying out their specific functions so the goals of the events can be achieved. Manage committee meetings and staff trainings as needed for the events.

o Establish and manage the event budgets. Track revenue and expense actuals to budget and make the adjustments as needed to meet the net income goals. Prepare accurate and timely reports weekly.

o Implement sponsorship solicitation via the partnership process.

o Organize and qualify event logistics using a timeline/calendar of tasks and priorities.

o Assist in execution of JA program events and support other fundraising events and committees as needed.

o Other duties as assigned; infrequently including some early mornings, weeknights, and weekends

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

o Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

o Previous sales experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
