Danville School is located in the rural small town of Danville Vermont and is a preschool through Grade 12. We have approximately 340 students and about 90 employees.Danville School is seeking a design and technology instructor to work with our rapidly expanding DanvilleWorks technical and experiential learning team. Courses will focus on one or more of the following areas: woodworking and carpentry, green design and sustainability, engineering, welding and digital prototyping (laser cutter, 3D printer). Danville has a well-equipped wood shop with a welding room, and several outdoor campus fixtures including a sawmill, greenhouse, and small forested trail.Courses and skills taught are flexible, and can adapt to depend on the instructor's interests, experience and abilities. Overall, the successful candidate will, in addition to technical skills, have: - A strong belief in the trades as a viable career pathway. - Skill and excitement at working with students in a hands-on capacity. - A belief that all students can and should be guided to a fulfilling post-secondary pathway.
The pay will be based on the teacher's years of experience and educational level.
