Position: Route Assistant - 4 days a week! Home on weekends!

Reports to: Operations Manager and Assigned Delivery Driver

Basic Purpose:

As a Route Assistant, your basic job standard is to perform all tasks requested of you by the delivery driver to which you are assigned. You are to support his sales efforts in the market on the route that has been assigned by the Delivery Supervisor

Assigned Tasks:

• As soon as you clock in, check with the delivery supervisor for direction.
• Conduct yourself as a gentleman both inside and outside of Mitchell Distributing Company
• Handle all product carefully to avoid any breakage
• Breakdown each bay and or replace all carts on the delivery vehicle to which you have been assigned at the end of every account delivery
• Maintain both a neat and presentable appearance in and out of the warehouse with a current and proper uniform and dress code
• Rework any breakage collected by that route after your truck has been inventoried by the Warehouse Manager
• Wash and clean out the assigned delivery vehicle at a minimum once per week or as needed
• Get any beer required by walk-in customers if regular Warehouse Personnel are unavailable and prior to your clocking out for the day
• Check with the assigned Delivery Driver and Warehouse Manager for additional tasks prior to clocking out for the day
• Observe all rules with regard to general warehouse cleanliness and common good housekeeping
• Learn to correctly check your assigned route truck inventory in and out
• Assist warehouse in an on going up-keep including but not limited to picking up all trash, proper placement of pallets, etc.
• Assist with any task that is asked of you by the Warehouse Manager when not directly working under your Delivery Driver
• Complete your monthly IMPACT and turn in the written documentation in a timely manner to be paid for that period Perform all tasks assigned to you on your assigned route
• Conduct yourself as a gentleman both inside and outside of Mitchell Distributing Company
• Direct all retailer complaints or requests to your Delivery Driver
• Handle all product carefully to avoid any breakage
• Assure that the rotation of all product in each account or on the delivery vehicle is maintained as required by Anheuser-Busch policy guidelines
• Face all labels on all products in shelves or on displays to ensure an attractive and quality appearance of all Anheuser-Busch products
• Maintain both a neat and presentable appearance in and out of the warehouse with a current and proper uniform and dress code
• Remove all boxes and clean up any debris in all accounts before leaving that account
• Break down and level all truck bays before leaving each account and at the end of the day when returning from the market
• Rotate all product remaining on the assigned delivery vehicle
• Be respectful of your co-workers and customers by not talking on or texting on your cell phone while inside the account

This job standard is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee assigned to this position will be expected to perform other reasonably related business duties as requested by the immediate supervisor and other management as required. Mitchell Distributing Company reserves the right to revise or otherwise change this job standard as the need arises.

Pay: From $23,000.00 per year
