Initially started as a Preferred Provider Organization that was leased by major employees, HealthOne has expanded its offering to multiple lines of health insurance for individuals/families and businesses. In 2020, HOA expanded into ICHRA administrative service for employers and their employees. HOA is proud to call Georgia home and is fiercely committed to our community. JOB PURPOSE

The Data Analyst interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. The Data Analyst designs, develops, implements and maintains business solutions and works directly with project leaders to identify analytical requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

• Evaluates and analyzes supply chain data using Excel, Business Objects, SQL, R, or any other business intelligence tools to design and develop reports from various data sources
• Analyzes and documents project scope and business processes and requirements for the project
• Communicates with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure expectations are kept in line with project status
• Analyzes, interprets, and validates results of reports produced
• Creates, revises and executes process maps, data flow diagrams, requirements specifications, use case scenarios, and acceptance testing
• Creates comprehensive dashboards from analyzed data
• Studies current state and identifies sources of error and improvement so an accurate data set is used for all analyses
• Researches, gathers, develops, and documents customer requirements and methodologies.
• Develops and authors solution requirements package, business process models, context diagrams, and support Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts
• Communicates complex ideas both verbally and in writing
• Reviews numbers, trends, and data and comes to new conclusions based on the findings
• Guides departments to make process improvements so data inputs are made timely, consistently and correctly
• Works with IT to determine data fields that needs to be used, or other that need to stop being used or be modified
• Drives process efficiencies to enable data automation to generate reliable, accurate, and actionable KPI’s and reports
• Coordinates report requirements with internal customers to meet business objectives
• Applies statistics-based market intelligence to business issues and formulates recommendations
• Collaborates with external partners to assist with data collection and reporting
• Supports operations with forecast analysis and other sales, inventory and operations planning data activities.

• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition and ensures safe operating conditions within area of responsibility

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance or related field required
• Zero to two years of related experience and analyzing data
• Prior experience with SQL preferred
• Extensive Excel experience preferred
• Experience in creating QA plans for data analysis and ensuring the accuracy of results of data studies
• Experience with documenting requirements for integrations, data conversions and working as a business analyst in technical driven projects (e.g. software upgrades)
• Ability to tell stories with data, educates effectively, and instills confidence in recommendations, motivating others to act on them

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Moderate amount of walking, sitting, and writing. Moderate to significant amount of stress in meeting deadlines and dealing with day-to-day events in the execution of job duties. Needs flexibility and adaptability to change. Candidate must be self-disciplined and a self-starter and able to work independently with a flexible work schedule. Must be able to drive a vehicle and daytime/overnight travel as required.
