What you will do:
Provides effective customer service by establishing a working relationship with internal and external customers through communication via mail or telephone or in-person with customers or company employees.

• Establishes a professional working relationship with customers by listening carefully and proactively identifying concerns and providing solutions.
• Move orders from plant to plant to find the most cost-effective route.
• Coordinate orders between sales and drivers
• Takes orders from customers with the joint objectives of booking concrete volume and negotiating schedule time and pour spacing to optimize truck demand.
• Obtain accurate pour information from customers.
• Optimizes current-day deliveries by dynamically adjusting the original schedule to respond to unforeseen adjustments in customer deliveries.
• Plans for efficient utilization of equipment by calling out the right number of trucks to balance the twin objectives of driver labor efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Uses information from drivers on-site with customers to optimize customer service.
• Run and complete various reports weekly or as needed
• Assist the Customer Service Manager in any duties as assigned
• Responsible for assisting the operation with customer service. This includes answering customer inquiries, answering incoming calls, and ensuring that all customers are treated based on the Company’s mission, vision, and values
• Works with the Sales and Administration departments to ensure all GCC Ready Mix Administration procedures are followed, particularly with respect to project entry.
• Documents daily Key Performance Indicators to drive operational excellence in all departments.

Experience & abilities you will need:

• High school or equivalent.
• 1+ years of customer service experience required, dispatch experience preferred.
• Geographic knowledge of local areas to schedule orders efficiently based on the physical location of the job.
• Client Services Certifications a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and give out driving instructions on site.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
