The Trevor-Wilmot Consolidated Grade School District is located in Southeast Wisconsin and serves approximately 500 students in the Trevor and Wilmot communities from grades 4K through 8th grade. The Trevor-Wilmot Consolidated Grade School District is seeking an energetic and friendly part-time Custodian to join our team. The successful candidate will perform routine cleaning and maintenance to keep our district well-maintained for our students, staff, and community.

Essential Functions:

• Performs routine maintenance activities.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuum floors.
• Gathers and empties trash.
• Scrubs sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment.
• Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers.
• Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
• Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture.
• Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems
• Assist with helping to maintain facility grounds – some mowing and snow shoveling, minor landscaping.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the district and community
• Cleans and assists with the upkeep of the facilities
• Reports any issue to the Director of Facilities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Position Requirements/Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Prolonged periods of standing, or walking required
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
• Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds
• Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
• Time management and multitasking abilities
• Physical strength and stamina
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to work alone and with other staff members
• Experience in school a plus
• Ability to adjust hours when required for events at night.

Hours: Monday – Friday 1:00 pm - 6:30 pm during the school year. Ability to flex hours when required.
10:30 am to 4:00 pm during the summer months.
