General Responsibilities:
The principal responsibility of the Custodial Operations Manager position is to oversee janitorial service channel functions at multiple Texas, Alabama, South Carolina, and Kentucky retail locations of a major technology company.
The Operations Manager will provide leadership, supervision and training to custodial staff to ensure routine cleaning of all areas of the buildings.
This is a remote position, with the possibility of some travel within the states named above.
The job duties include daily monitoring of the active ticket management system, management of employee profiles, monitoring of employee clock-ins and outs and frequent client communications for work tickets and service requests.
The successful candidate must possess the ability to support custodial, floor care for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual services within a retail setting using a collaborative approach to facilities management.
- Bilingual skills--English/Spanish is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Apple Service Channel is a plus.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business management, environmental/custodial services, or equivalent preferred.
- 5-7 years’ experience in managing retail janitorial service operations. Within the past ten years, five years of experience within a large facility providing custodian services.
- Possess strong knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated knowledge and competency in managing janitorial services, labor, budget, and other resources.
- Experience in directing cleaning type operations in a supervisory capacity.
- Ability to train employees for proper procedure for safety training for both BCI and client requirements.
- Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation and auto insurance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including background investigation, if applicable.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist with providing management oversight of Janitorial Service Operations at the retail sites
- Coordinate and support janitorial needs, including cross-utilization of labor resources.
- Ensure compliance with the Retail Building/Equipment Cleaning Plans.
- Physically inspect all locations on a scheduled basis.
- Establish and maintain a close working relationship with the contract client management.
- Verbally and in writing, respond to client request for information and meetings in a timely manner.
- Maintain budget controls for inventory, supplies and equipment ordering, and labor cost.
- Prepare work schedules in accordance with contract requirements.
- Ensure that employees comply with all safety regulations in accordance with contract requirements.
- Perform monthly safety training and other relevant trainingfor supervisors and custodial staff.
- Oversee annual performance reviews.
- Plans and oversees all custodial work, maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Maintains inventory and recommends selection of suitable custodial supplies.
- Inspects the performance of the custodial staff on a regular basis.
- Supervise detailed custodial functions including floor care. Ensure performance of standard janitorial duties including dusting, detailing, vacuuming, sanitizing, waxing, buffing and stripping floors, and cleaning restrooms, common areas, and windows when personnel is absent.
- Ensure employees clean all tabletops, fixtures, file cabinets, desks, dividers, partitions, elevator doors, entry doors, walls and surfaces to ensure that they are free from dust and dirt in accordance with the daily work schedules.
- Step in to perform custodial duties due to employee vacancies or absences.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
