License or Certification:

  • Registered as a Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current BLS certification required

Education, Vocational Training, and Experience:

  • Candidate will have graduated from an accredited school of Radiological Technology
  • Experience with starting IVs and administering contrast per protocol
  • Comfortable with protocol manipulation and surgical planning protocols

Interpersonal Relations: Strong communication skills are required. Interaction with patients, family members, physicians, referral sources, and visitors must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. Behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork and positive relations.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work under little to no supervision
  • Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and confidence in radiology
  • Ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Communicate articulately with others
  • Ability to use independent judgment and common sense
  • Ability to provide excellent care for patients of all ages
  • Computer and phone skills desired
  • PACs, RIS, and HIS system navigation experience
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

Job Duties:

· Deliver exceptional patient care by providing medical imaging services in a variety of stages in a surgical setting.

· Facilitate patient care within our facility by providing timely and accurate imaging with emphasis on serving our physicians and their patients.

· Maintain communication with Imaging teammates using Teams messaging.

· Operate Carestream portable and fixed x-ray equipment and user interface.

· Assist with injection procedures.
