Job description

Maintain Town Pump’s cost and retail product pricing for the Convenience stores. Coordinates information between Town Pump and vendors to ensure accurate prices. Setup and maintain product promotions, including the setup of new products and/or product lines, in the pricebook system. Responsible for billing and collecting rebate moneys from specified vendors on a monthly/quarterly basis. Provide customer service for both the store locations and other internal/external customers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or Associate’s degree (A.A) from a two-year college or technical school with one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


COMPUTER SKILLS:

Experience in the following software: MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Monarch, Internet. Experience with or ability to learn PDI Enterprise accounting software.


REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Ability to operate a 10 key adding machine with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stores, banks, vendors, Pricebook Department, co-workers and supervisor.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and correct inventory invoice entries for various Convenience stores and provide training to Store personnel as needed.
  • Responsible for auditing specific General Ledger Accounts monthly, make appropriate journal entries.
  • Maintain monthly/weekly reports and distribute to appropriate personnel.
  • Update and verify Pricebook cost and retail pricing within PDI and POS equipment at locations.
  • Communicate with the C-Store Operations buyers and Town Pump vendors to determine monthly and yearlong promos.
  • Invoice Vendors and track receivables
  • Research transactions on occasion to verify sales and income are accounted for correctly.
  • Become knowledgeable of Town Pump’s Point of Sale equipment to assist locations and research transactions.
  • Answer, log, and follow up on customer complaint calls
