Detailed Responsibilities for the Position
Performs payer credentialing, provider licensing and hospital privileging for clients.
Ensures providers are credentialed, re-credentialed and privileged in a timely and efficient manner
Develops accurate and thorough provider profiles in Credential My Doc Credentialing software. Monitors license and certification expiration dates, and ensures timely renewal.
Identifies issues that require additional investigation and evaluation, validates discrepancies and ensures appropriate follow up.
Proactively monitors application statuses and performs follow-up as necessary.
Responds to inquiries from other healthcare organizations and interfaces with internal and external customers on day-to-day credentialing and privileging issues as they arise.
Ensures timely issue and reissue of COI through completion of the insurance application for all assigned providers
Maintains strong professional relationships with clients, hospitals and third party payors.
Escalate concerns regarding the processing of providers; lack of renewals and non-response to management.
Travels periodically to assigned facilities to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and hospitals.
Periodically audits for compliance with payer fee schedules.
Adheres to all company compliance policies and external regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of healthcare credentialing/privileging experience
Competent user of Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
Strong performer in the following areas: organization, attention to detail, communication skills, customer service.
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
