The Creative Video Producer for Innovation role requires a high level of creative talented and well- rounded knowledge and experience as a video production expert. This role successfully partners and engages with the academic teams/curriculum design (on camera professors/experts) and the Producers, Production Designers, Cinematographers, Editors, Team at Kaplan UP to produce beautiful classes taught by the best in the world. The requirements for success include a high level of curiosity, creative talent, and being a lifelong learner with a passion about education.
Primary Responsibilities
Pre-Production-
- Partner with the academic team, university professor and head of productions to develop the courses
- Provide creative input and dynamic ways to make the content entertaining, engaging and exciting for our students.
- Support, coach and advise the production director and coordinators with feedback and creative solutions for scheduling, legal release forms, props, etc.
Production-
- Lead and manage the videographers (ic’s) on location including troubleshooting in real time.
- Produce and direct the shoot to high quality of product (video content for our courses).
- Represent the Kaplan brand and KNA innovation in particular with our partners and guests.
Post Production
- Support as needed the post production director and video editors with guideline and feedback to the courses video edits.
Product Development
- Research and Brainstorm opportunities and ideas to improve and upscale our product.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of video productions and media experience
- Strong communication, organizational and relationship-building skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, perform well under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Film/ TV/ Production or Media
