Note: This position will consider female applicants only for the girls group home.

The House Parent/Youth Counselor Weekend Staff will function as a professional parental role model. The weekend counselor will ensure that the youth have a family-style program that accentuates skill acquisition and personal development in a safe environment teaching them independent living skills, social and life skills.

House Parent/Youth Counselor Weekend Staff- must be able to live in one of Education Advantage Single Family home every other weekend (twice a month), commencing on a Friday on arrival at 2:00PM through Sunday at 11:00 PM.

The House Parent Weekend Counselor will ensure a safe environment in the group home, providing direct supervision of youth. Ensures youth receive appropriate nutrition including healthy balanced meals planning.

Assists youth in developing and refining daily living skills, academic, vocational training, and/or vocational pursuits; interact with other professionals such as teachers, employers, and other external service providers to maximize residents’ success in these areas.

Manages medical appointments, medical administration and tracking in accordance with FL administrative regulations.

Maintains vehicles and home maintenance accordingly. Domestic responsibilities and other assigned duties including administrative directives.

Report any acts, incidents, conditions, physical force and all unusual incidents or which reflect the possibility of client abuse including inappropriate client/client or staff/client relationships.

Weekend Staff partners directly and under the supervision of the full time House Parent. All household bills are paid by Education Advantage.

Rate of Pay: $400.00 per weekend.

• Land O' Lakes, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Caregiving: 2 years (Preferred)
• Childcare: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
