Discovery Senior Living is looking for a Corporate Business Office Manager to join our home office team.

This position will be responsible for coordinating and training new and existing Community Business Office Managers (BOM). Responsibilities include but are not limited to training and compliance management of business office procedures for CRM system, accounting system, and compliance with AR and AP functions. Provides guidance for community BOM openings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate training for CRM, financial, accounting, and billing system, follow up with “hands on” support as needed.
  • Coordinates or performs Report Designer and Sql training.
  • Ensures controls are in place for AR and AP functions, and ensures all related documentation and policies are adhered to by BOMs.
  • Builds BOM support structure.
  • Ensures new hire BOM training is conducted timely.
  • Sets standards for all BOM functions.
  • Ensures BOMs have a good understanding of the following:
      • Billing and collection processes and tracking systems.
      • Cash controls
      • Processing of accounts payable
      • Expense Management System
      • Labor Management System
      • Payroll and employee benefits
      • Monthly financial statements
      • Management reports
      • Resident, vendor and financial accounting files

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include coordinating the training employees; ensuring policies and procedures are understood and carried out within the communities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business preferred
  • Five or more years’ experience as a Business Office Manager
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Experience with daily BOM procedures
  • Knowledge of licensure of an assisted living community a plus
