ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is responsible for the business development and project management of special supplement issues of professional medical journals.
Key responsibilities include:
Meet and exceed revenue targets by proactively generating new business opportunities.
Represent OUP at major conferences exhibiting a knowledgeable and professional manner.
Work with medical societies, Editors-in-Chief and editorial staff to identify new topics, contributors, and sponsors for publications.
Develop relationships with medical societies, key opinion leaders, industry partners (pharmaceutical and device companies), and medical communication companies.
Develop an in-depth understanding of medical specialty markets, particularly drug pipelines, lead qualification and generation, customer identification (and data gathering).
Maintain strong sales pipeline.
Cold call new prospects and strengthen relationships with previous customers.
Keep appraised of industry developments, regulations, and market trends.
Work interdepartmentally with editorial and production to manage supplement publication process and meet publication deadlines.
ABOUT YOU
Education: BA or BS
Experience: minimum 3 years in a publishing environment
Strong proficiency in MS Office 360 and Salesforce

Location: This role is hybrid in Cary, NC or remote in the United States.
Salary: $46,550 - $69,825 dependent on skills and experience
