Job Summary

THE POSITION: The Coordinator III, Charter School Office, shall provide administrative support to the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) Charter School Office; assist with the mandated oversight and monitoring of LACOE-authorized charter schools; provide assistance for the mandated review and analysis of charter school petitions; monitor, interpret, and assess legislation; serve as a liaison with other agencies; and perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Any combination of education and experience that would be likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: A minimum of three years of comprehensive experience as a campus level administrator; additional progressive experience as a Principal or at a district office is preferred. Education: A Master’s degree in education from an institution of higher learning accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION (Must attach a detailed certification/credential with document number to application): • Possess and maintain a valid Supervisory or Administrative Credential. • Must also possess a California Teaching Credential authorizing service to students K-12 or a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS). • This position requires a valid driver’s license.
