Job Summary
THE POSITION: The Coordinator II, Early Learning Programs, under administrative direction, supports the implementation of specialized early learning outcomes programs, i.e. California Preschool Instructional Network (CPIN), Transitional Kindergarten, and Dual Language Learners, P-3 Alignment, and supports the integration of resources with Quality Counts California, and California Department of Education initiatives to support the continuous quality improvement model driven by results and outcomes. The position assist with the planning and development of services specific to the contract scope of work for the specialized early learning program; supports ongoing programmatic review, monitoring, resource development, and training and technical assistance of state funded child development programs as required by the State Preschool Foundations and Funding Terms and Conditions; and provides consultative program development and support in noted content areas to ensure children are school-ready and prepared to transition to kindergarten. This position may be assigned to participate in and provide technical support to other early learning programs within the Head Start and Early Learning Division such as Quality Start Los Angeles.

Requirements / Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Experience: Five years of experience in early education and child development program including transitional kindergarten design, administration, and implementation (i.e., creating program policies and procedures, overseeing program services, ensuring adherence to program requirements, and identifying external resources and partnership opportunities). Education: A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, early childhood development, educational leadership or a closely related field from a Regionally Accredited Institution of Higher Learning. Additional Requirements: Master's degree, licensure, or certification in a related field is preferred. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE (Please provide a copy of each credential document as it appears on the California Teaching Credential website with the document number on it.): • Must hold a Valid Administrative Credential • Must hold a valid Multiple Subject, Single Subject or Early Childhood Credential (non- special ed)
