Two Keys Tavern is a Sport’s Bar located at 650-B College Park Road, Ladson, SC. We are looking for a cook with restaurant experience to join our team. You must be a self-starter, reliable, and very detail oriented. We are looking for a candidate who is familiar with kitchen equipment and utensils. He or she must work well with others as well as work well by his or herself. Finally, you must have the ability to listen and communicate effectively. Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Candidate must be able to work days (10AM-5PM) and nights (5PM-12AM) as well as weekend shifts
• Ability to work well unsupervised or with others
• Must have cook experience
• Must be skilled in operating kitchen equipment
• Must be skilled in various cooking techniques
• Must know and follow sanitation procedures
• Must showcase teamwork and communication skills
• Must be able to multitask and act quickly
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, work under stress and exercise good judgment

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Setting and prepping workstations
• Ensure all food safety and health department standards
• Passionately prepare, portion, and cook food items to quality specifications
• Be a team player
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves and coolers so that they can be organized and easily accessible
• Maintain quality control of food by following Two Keys Tavern's recipes and upholding the Two Keys Tavern standard
• Preform various cooking techniques
• Ensure proper plate presentation
• Assist co-workers when needed to maintain restaurant volume and guest satisfaction
• Manage food storage, stock and ingredient orders
• Preparing and maintaining kitchen equipment
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning equipment, and taking out trash
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
• Stand 100% of shift
• Works frequently in a hot/damp environment
• Able to communicate with manager and team members to ensure guest satisfaction

Compensation:

Compensation for the Line Cook is dependent upon experience. This position offers room for growth.

If you do not have your safe food handling certification, you will be required to get it before training is over. Our kitchen is open from 11 AM – 11 PM on Sunday- Thursday and 11AM- 12 AM on Friday and Saturday.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $14.00 - $19.00/hour.

Two Keys Tavern offers dine-in and bar side seating, pool tables, and many tv's. We host APA pool league on Monday- Thursday evenings.
