The Role: This position installs and repairs electrical systems, electrical and electronic components of Wenger Equipment. Sr. Controls Tech must have the skill set to train and/or perform the tasks of other associates in the department. This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Build and troubleshoot PLC programs.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Must be familiar with a variety of extruder/dryer processes and procedures relating to electrical and PLC matters.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks including leading and directing operators and other Technicians.
• Operates lift truck with certification.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

• Manufacturing environment: may be exposed to loud noises, machinery with moving parts.
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment when in manufacturing areas (safety glasses and safety shoes).
• Potential for domestic or international travel.

Minimum Qualifications

• Keep proprietary and company information confidential in compliance with employee agreement.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Solid problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English language.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Technical Degree
• Pre-employment Physical Capacity Profile test including drug/alcohol screening required.
• Self-motivated.
• Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules.
• Knowledge in Allan Bradley PLC's, ControlLogic, RSVIEW32, FactoryTalk SE & ME. Preferred but not required
