Job Summary
As the Financial Controller, you will oversee the financial operations of the casino. In addition, you will be responsible for accurately recording the General Ledger and reporting to management and various regulatory and government agencies.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Foster an environment that embodies Bally’s Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere
- Enthusiastically promote Bally’s customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations
- Establish, implement, and enforce policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements, Company initiatives, and organizational goals, including, but not limited to, the company’s internal controls
- Develop financial strategy, including risk mitigation plans and opportunity forecasting
- Develop financial reviews and provide investment advice
- Oversee the company’s payroll processing
- Manage the company’s daily cash flows
- Ensure reports required for the Illinois Gaming Board are timely completed and submitted
- Review financial statements, management reports, and related journals
- Reconcile casino funds and investigate all material cash variances
- Periodically hold unscheduled count of various casino gaming and non-gaming operations
- Assist independent auditors, Illinois Gaming Board auditors, and internal auditors as needed
- Prepare and submit company tax and BAS statements
- Select, train, and develop junior staff through education, training, coaching, and corrective action
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in the field of finance or accounting
- Must have more than three years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles within the casino industry
- General knowledge of accounting, financial, and operating principles is required
- Experience developing financial reports, metrics, and models is required
- Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are required
- Must have superior attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture
- Must have a demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels are required
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to lift up to a maximum of 30 pounds
- Requires manual dexterity to operate a keyboard

The first phase of the new casino hotel resort is slated to cost $1 billion. It will include 2,700 slot machines, 95 table games, a suite-only hotel, with 100 suites. There will also be an outdoor music venue with space for 1,000 people.

The permanent location will include a 3,000 seat theater, an extension of the Chicago Riverwalk, pedestrian bridge, six restaurants, a food hall, and room for 3,400 slots and 173 game tables.
The corporation has a plan to retrofit the former warehouse at the current Tribune plant in order to serve as a temporary casino while the casino is being built. Bally's Temporary Casino will be located at 600 N. Wabash Ave, Chicago, IL 60611.
