RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a strategic thinker who can not only handle the day-to-day financial operations but also identify areas for growth and improvement. The job responsibilities of our Financial Controller include:

Leadership

  • Collaborating with the leadership team to develop effective financial reporting and strategies
  • Leading, managing, developing, and training the finance team
  • Owning all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Managing departmental budgeting processes
  • Handling HR responsibilities, including compensation and benefits
  • Developing and reporting on relevant KPIs
  • Developing processes and leveraging technology to drive organizational growth

Management and Oversight

  • Preparing financial reports and presenting to CEO and COO
  • Maintaining general ledger accounts and reconciliations
  • Overseeing accounts receivable and payable
  • Managing tax filing processes with outside accountant, including returns, reviews, and audits
  • Overseeing bank accounts, wire transfers, approving payments, credit cards/accounts, partner payments, and license fees
  • Conducting effective cost analysis processes
  • Analyzing and forecasting revenue
  • Developing systems and processes to uncover inefficiencies

Innovation and Process Improvement

  • Managing the technology and automation of financial systems
  • Owning financial modeling, including evaluating potential big-ticket spending and continuously identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies

*This is an in-person position based just outside Philadelphia, PA. A relocation package could be considered for the right candidate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 3+ years as Controller, Director of Finance, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience leading and managing financial teams
  • Has worked with companies with revenues in the $20M-$200M range
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and current tax laws
  • Experience and knowledge of ERP software (or equivalent financial software)
  • Proficient to above average skills in Excel
  • Comfortable with technology and enjoys evaluating and implementing new technology strategies
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Preferred

  • MBA
  • Microsoft Business Central / Dynamics NAV experience
  • ERP implementation experience
  • Excel expert
  • Has worked in an inventory-based business
  • Experience in retail, wholesale, warehousing, consumer products, or manufacturing

Desired

  • CPA accreditation
  • Strong SQL skills and report writing, comfortable with Business Intelligence/Crystal reporting

Salary Range: $125k - $135k
