Contract Forms Specialist
The Contract Forms Specialist role is responsible for supporting the contract forms functions with the Contract Management group.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Leads efforts to handle standard, scheduled filings and miscellaneous team responsibilities.

  • Participates in the product design discussions pertaining to Life and Annuity product implementation.

  • Contributes in drafting Annuity and Life Insurance contracts and endorsements to support product development and product change initiatives.

  • Creates filing letters and all appropriate transmittals in preparation for filing forms with State Insurance Regulatory Departments.

  • Makes recommendations for resolving problems in individual states.

  • Drafts special state versions of annuity contracts and life insurance policies, certificates and endorsements.

  • Reviews and analyzes legislation. Supports determination of optimum method of implementing any required changes.

  • Participates on cross-functional teams to represent policy form functions in connection with product implementation and strategic decisions regarding new products and new features.

  • Assists with the implementation of new or revised policy forms with IT areas that manage the contract issue systems. This requires reviewing test data, approving final output for implementation and occasional post-production review.

Work Experience
  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in policy forms or insurance compliance.
  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in product development, filing with state insurance departments, and legislative review and analysis.
Desired Qualifications
  • Excellent English language skills – writing and reading comprehension.
  • Ability to critically analyze written material.
  • Must have ability to manage a large volume of materials and keep up with rapidly changing document versions.
  • Attention to detail and organization.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Knowledge of the SERFF electronic filing system, ACLI, NILS, and other insurance regulatory applications.
Base Pay Range: $51,800/yr. - $86,300/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
