RJS CONSTRUCTION, INC. is an established and growing general contractor performing construction work in the Federal, Public, and Private sectors throughout the United States. We are currently seeking to engage an individual of character and integrity in the role of CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER to complement and assist our existing professional team. The ideal candidate would be able to seek out and accept direction, demonstrate confidence, possess superior communication skills (verbal and written) and be highly functional in independent as well as collaborative environments. H1 Visa not acceptable.

Project Management responsibilities and functions would include the following:

The project manager will oversee, and develop regional staff including field and project engineers.

Solicit, expedite, process and track project submittals and shop drawings on smaller projects. Larger projects may be staffed with field and project engineers to assist in the above processes.

Manage the RFI process on multiple projects concurrently.

Scheduling, including monitoring and updating; includes assisting superintendent with short interval schedules

Processing time cards, invoices (including subcontractor payment applications) and receipts.

Processing and/or developing subcontracts and purchase orders.

Quality control, punch list and close-out processes.

Represent RJS in a professional and competent manner to all stakeholders

Be accountable for success of a project

Other Responsibilities may include the following:

Estimating efforts through assemblage of bid documents, subcontractor data base maintenance, sub-trade solicitations and follow-up, representation at pre-bid site visits, etc.

Assist with marketing efforts through proposal writing and proposal structuring/assembly.

Participation and contribution at project meetings (may be required to document and publish minutes)

Occasional site visits to remote sites are likely and should be taken into consideration

Desired Qualities/Characteristics include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

Minimum of five (10) years’ experience in a construction management role

Demonstrable skills in construction management

Ability and willingness to work in a fast paced and demanding environment.

Must be a team player and capable of individual commitment to a group effort - leadership ability is critical to the role and highly valued

Highly motivated is a must

Possess proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Project and Outlook.

Knowledge and awareness of construction related software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
