Job description
Welch Excavation & Utility Company is currently looking for a Construction Estimator. Job will require Monday through Friday 7am – 5pm. Occasional weekend hours when necessary. Job requires creating estimates and reading blueprints. High school diploma or equivalent required. MUST have at least 1-year experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Estimate and quote assigned projects.
- Work with Sales Admin in assuring all plans are accounted for.
- Develop relationships with clients to assist in sales.
- Complete and turn in change orders to clients for changes to awarded projects in a timely manner.
- Obtain bid tabulations from clients on bided projects.
- Must have a high school diploma, GED, or the equivalent
- Must be proficient in Microsoft word, excel, and outlook
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Be able to work well as part of a team
- Works well under pressure
- Be a self-motivator
- Must have basic math skills
- Must communicate easily and clearly
- Goal oriented, success driven
