Bachelor's Degree
Bilingual (English and Spanish) is strongly preferred

Candidates should have strong commitment to public service, solving a range of constituent issues, ability to follow-up with relevant agencies to track progress and ensure resolution on all requests. Curiosity, willingness to learn, excellent research and writing skills, empathetic demeanor, attention to detail, patience, and listening and problem-solving skills are a must, as is timely and accurate recordkeeping and reporting.

In addition to casework, the Associate will have responsibility for attending meetings and events with the Senator or on the Senator’s behalf, as well as helping with written work, and planning and assisting with office and community events. Flexibility required as all staff pitch in on other responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities include working with constituent services staff and other colleagues to address the needs of constituents seeking information, services and resources, through research, casework, and referrals depending upon the needs of constituents.

Knowledge of or interest in government systems (benefits, housing, healthcare, courts, state and local governments), and customer service or social work/advocacy skills required.

All staff is transitioning back to in-person work in the office with appropriate safety precautions. Some remote work at the outset.

Salary is competitive for a full-time position beginning at $50,000. The position comes with an excellent benefits package including health, dental, optical, and retirement benefits.
