Ready Mix Driver

Job Description:

The main responsibility of this job is to assure the safe and timely delivery of ready mix concrete to the customers. Making sure that you are efficient on the jobsite and perform your job with professional company standards to assure good standing customer relations. Proper maintenance of equipment and inspection of your ready mix truck. Filling out daily paperwork (daily inspections/log books/mileage). Assisting with basic plant maintenance and yard duties.

Physical Demands:

-Must be able to climb in and out of truck using 3 point of contact standard.

-Must be able to climb and up and down a ladder to perform basic washing duties on the truck and to check slump.

-Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds which is the typical weight of the chutes/chute extensions.

-Work in varying elements, this job is located in South Dakota. Temperatures and weather constantly change and you will be required to work in heat and colder temperatures.

Job Requirements:

-Have a CDL Class B with airbrakes.

-Obtain a CDL permit by first day of work.

-Read gauge to check slump and relay to plant manager to assure customer satisfaction.

-Drive truck in charge mode to make sure the concrete mixes properly.

-Clean truck exterior/interior that meet company standards.

-Hose out inside of drum and exterior upon emptying of drum on jobsite.

-Drive in a safe manner while transporting concrete.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
