Community Event Planner/Marketer/Coordinator
Lakeshore by Simple Life is looking for a high energy and motivated person to plan and lead successful and cost-effective community events. Reporting to the Community Manager, this position will also proactively call on local businesses, and other marketing activities to boost our brand awareness.

Compensation

• Part-time position to start, hourly rate of $20 per hour
• 20-30 Hours per week

General Job Duties

• Develops/establishes, plans, implements, coordinates, and promotes events for

Lakeshore residents and potential prospects that are currently non-residents

• Working within a budget, and under the supervision of the Community Manager, controls all events including planning, budgeting, marketing, organizing and administration
• Sources and negotiates vendors and suppliers
• Hires DJs, staff, etc.
• Provides onsite support for participants and vendors during events
• Creates and promotes quarterly event calendar with approval from the community manager
• Creates monthly community newsletter with approval from the community manager
• Identifies and cultivates relationships with local businesses
• Other duties as assigned by the community manager

Requirements:

• We envision a flexible schedule that will range from Wednesday through Saturday including evenings and an occasional Sunday event, but a planned month ahead schedule will be set in advance. When no weekend events take place, hours will be assigned to weekdays instead.
• Flexible to work additional hours as needed
• Prior experience planning and organizing events
• High school diploma/GED
• Experience wearing many hats in a small organization or team

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Fluent in Microsoft Office. Experience working with social media. CRM Experience helpful.
• Valid Driver’s License
