The director-level Commodity Trader will be an integral part of the trading desk. Responsibilities in the Commodity Trading role will include trading US Energy and managing positions including Energy Derivatives (non-linear and linear). The position requires a trader with the ability to run and analyze risk, book and execute trades. Knowledge and some experience in Energy products required, power knowledge is a plus.

The salary range for this position will be between $225,000 - $300,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance

He/she/they will have the following responsibilities:

• Trading US Energy: products include Energy Derivatives: both non-linear and linear
• Managing positions
• Respecting limits
• Ensure competitive Pricing. Development of Tools if required.
• Support and back-up other Energy desks
• Liaise with the NY, Houston, London, and Paris sales force to monitor and support commercial development
• Coordinate the local implementation of the Commodity business strategy.
• Support the Trading desk activity
• Work closely with Sales teams, especially to monitor the commercial development, by providing accurate prices on their requests, and provide regularly trading ideas and market comments
• Review current US Energy product offering and ensure it is in-line with the demands from clients
• Work with the Sales team to ensure that appropriate products are proposed to Natixis customers, when applicable

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance-related or technical discipline minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in Energy products required.
• Demonstrated Pricing and Risk Management skills
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, meet deadlines, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously is important.
• Pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Mindset of sharing information with team in order to fully develop potential business relationships
• Demonstrated team player
• Ability to efficiently work under pressure and under tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey thoughts clearly and succinctly and to communicate pertinent complex information in a clear and organized manner.
