Southern Tire Mart, the largest independent commercial tire dealer in North America is seeking candidates for Mobile Technician. As a Commercial Tire Technician, you will be accountable for properly and safely performing the tire and related services needed for all commercial tire users. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Service Tires including dismounting and mounting any type of tire.

Inflating of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.

Determine repairable tire conditions and making repairs.

Remove tires for retreading as needed.

Clean and maintain equipment.

Properly maintain Service shop including appearance service equipment.

Comply with all safety regulations and requirements.

Wear proper PPE, use tire cages.

Perform a variety of tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light or heavy lifting, including commercial tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.

Basic Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

Pass a background check and Drug test.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Commercial Service Tire experience.

Excellent safety and attendance performance is expected.

Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. is required for some positions.

Must possess a mechanical aptitude.

Some shift work and/or work on Saturdays may be required.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Must be able to pass a background check including employment history, SSN verification, criminal history, drug screen, etc.
