CloudXoo is looking for an exceptional talent for a part time role as a Cloud Solution Engineer(CSE). What do we do? At CloudXoo we assess a small to medium size business's current technical/digital capability by working with their tech team to discover what systems, process, tools, hardware, and services they currently use. Once their deep dive assessment is completed, your role is to analyze and develop and present a future state CAF(cloud adoption framework) in sort of a playbook to deliver to them that they can keep. Assist the CSA(cloud solution architect) in either recommending multiple solution integrators to implement your solution into production or selecting one for them. We don't do the development, we just create the design for the development.
In this role specifically you will be responsible for designing cloud computing infrastructure and services. To ensure that the cloud design solution keeps in mind the need to be secure, scalable, and highly available. Preferred work experience with cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to deploy, configure, and optimize cloud services to meet the needs of the organization.
Other specific job responsibilities include:
Designing cloud infrastructure: to design the cloud infrastructure that meets their business needs. By be able to identify the necessary services and resources required to build a reliable and scalable cloud platform.
Developing and implementing cloud-based solutions: By developing cloud-based solutions that integrate with the existing systems and applications.
Configuring cloud services: Managing the configuration of cloud services such as virtual machines, databases, load balancers, and storage.
Ensuring security and compliance: The cloud infrastructure and services created have security and compliance to comply with regulatory requirements in mind. Security policies, access controls, and other security measures to protect the organization's data and applications.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues: Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to the cloud infrastructure and service design during the course of the engagement.
Collaborating with other IT teams: The cloud engineer works closely with other IT teams, such as developers, network engineers, and security professionals, to ensure the cloud infrastructure design integrates seamlessly with the organization's existing IT systems(if this is the solution you and the CA would end up recommending).
Staying up-to-date with new technologies: Keeps up-to-date with new cloud technologies and tools and evaluates their potential benefits to the organization. They recommend new solutions and best practices to optimize the cloud adoption/framework design.
To be successful in this role, as the cloud engineer you should have a strong background in cloud computing, networking, and security. They should also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other teams. Finally, a cloud engineer should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment and be able to adapt to new technologies and changes quickly. This will be per assignment role to start, at $65/hr as a IC 1099 resource.
