Devon has an exciting opportunity for a Senior IT Administrator to join the Technology group. The successful individual in this role will be a tenured Cloud Administrator with the ability work on large scale, complex environments. The primary focus for this role will be administration of Devon’s Azure cloud environment, however the individual needs a strong background in on premise server deployments, enterprise storage and networking, Windows and Linux Servers, PowerShell scripting, and automation. You will also be responsible for architecting, designing, supporting, and troubleshooting cloud solutions necessary to support the user community both in Azure cloud and on premise.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implementation, management and solution design of cloud IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and hybrid on premise/cloud environments. Azure specific experience a plus
- Advanced knowledge of cloud tenants and subscriptions, Virtual networks, Application Gateways, VPNs, Public IPs, NSGs, etc., Quotas, Scaling, Azure RBAC, Reserved Instance
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise storage, cloud storage accounts, IaaS compute and how they relate to performance and capabilities
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with simple and complex systems and solutions, performing upgrades, performance monitoring, and system audit tasks
- Comfortable working without the GUI. Prefer command line and automation for repetitive tasks. Experienced using APIs
- Strong PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager, BICEP knowledge
- Excellent working knowledge of VMWare, UNIX, Linux and Windows environments
- Ability to provide technical mentoring and guidance to other technical team members and customers
- Passion for advancing the current cloud landscape to the next generation of cloud solutions
- Knowledge relating to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
- Experience architecting complex solutions, strong project management capabilities, excellent interpersonal communication with peers and customers
- This position participates in on-call rotations
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Security basics - Least privilege access, firewall basics
- IPAM (IP Address Management), IP subnetting, firewalls and routing
- Traditional NAS and SAN storage hardware and software
- Traditional physical and virtual compute environments
- Experience in the oil and gas industry a plus
- Knowledge of managing and integrating with databases
- Distributed computing and scaling
- Data Protection - Commvault experience a plus
- Need to adapt, learn, research, and implement unfamiliar solutions
- Have a passion for learning about new products and services
