Job description
SAS helps the researchers an easy and controlled access to clinical trials data which helps in providing accurate clinical research information. SAS is the de facto standard for clinical trials data analysis and reporting, and electronic submissions to regulatory authorities, such as the FDA.
The basic job roles and responsibilities as a Clinical SAS Analyst include: Coordinating with Clinical Operations and Clinical Strategy for timely compilation of basic statistical summaries/analysis of clinical study data based on specifications given in study protocols as input to study reports that meet regulatory standards andrequirements. Supporting the development of clinical contentsin Field Communications and other marketing materials. Creating SAS datasets of clinical data from clinical databases; create status and efficacy datasets; create project specific macros and formats; load client data from other platforms and other software packages; prepare data to be sent to clients. Preparing of documentation describing all datasets and variables within, including derived variables, and the project as a whole. Performing data checks as needed, to ensure integrity and correctness of data displays. Prepare documentation for programs. Programming customized data displays, (including data listings, summary tables and routine graphics) in accordance with approved statistical analysis plan and shell displays for clinical research studies. Code is to be written using Base SAS programs, SAS procedures, or standardized macros. Perform data checks as needed to understand structure and content of data.
