Clinical Nurse Consultant Position Details:
- Provide overall support to the nursing departments of multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF)
- Traveling between facilities
- Responsible for supporting the Director of Nursing and Administrator at each facility.
- Provides input on, and support for, the implementation of strong clinical systems that result in the highest quality of care.
- Supports the development and implementation of quality assurance measurements and audits, and assists in improving medical management processes throughout the skilled nursing facilities and market by coordinating and engaging in activities to proactively promote implementation of evidence based best practices.
- The Clinical Resource monitors, performs, and manages quality assurance processes including those supporting compliance to regulatory and/or accreditation standards.
- Assists with survey activity, QAPI process, and identification of areas for improvement
- Assist the leaders at the facilities I am assigned to, to be in compliance with minimum standards of participation at all times Assist the leaders of assigned buildings to meet their goals
- Conduct monthly reviews of key clinical systems
- Actively participate in meetings, calls, and ongoing education as needed
- Acts as Interim DON if there is a vacancy in one of the assigned facilities
Qualifications:
- Long Term care experience required
- Experience with the survey process
- Must have current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Must be able to travel and be available to work beyond traditional office hours
- Service-oriented (positive, enthusiastic, empathetic and respectful demeanor)
