REGISTERED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST CARDIOVASCULAR/PULMONARY REHAB
Description: The purpose of this job is to perform cardiopulmonary evaluations, respiratory therapy treatments, techniques and education of the patient and to perform and coordinate the Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab Program taking into account the individual patient’s special physical or age related needs.
- Associates in Applied Science degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent study meeting NBRC requirements for Registered Respiratory Therapy credential.
- Prefer COPD educator, Asthma Educator, Cardiac Rehab Specialist, Exercise Physiologist and Glucose Monitoring Certification.
- Current license from the New York State Education Department and certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Possess one (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting and Pulmonary Rehab.
- Prefer two (2) to three (3) years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting and two (2) years Pulmonary Rehab. American Heart Association ACLS certified.
Status: 7:00am – 3:30pm (40 hours)
