• Works closely and receives supervision from Clinical Nutrition Supervisor and Department Director to enhance clinical nutrition care at NRHS.
• Registered Dietitian providing inpatient care.
• Establishes,implements and evaluates nutrition care plans for patients.
• Works closely with Healthcare team to provide high quality nutrition care.
• Preceptor for clinical interns and students.
• Liason between clinical nutrition team and other disciplines and providers.
• Provides training to the clincial team and other departments.

#NRHSS

Education

• Any program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics that leads to the registration as a Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RD/RDN).
• Basic knowledge of subspecialty area (inclucing nutrition support,diabetes, cardiology, renal, oncology)
• Must obtain approximately 15 hours of continuing education credis per calendar year.
• Keep current of new findings/research.

Experience

• Knowledge for use of different formula's when assessing patient's nutritional needs.
• Completion of general and patient care orientation is required prior to providing patient care.
• Six months of clinical experience in an acute care facility is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications

• Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and an Oklahoma State license.
• Much achieve registration within the first 6 months of eligibility or hire date.
• Must obtain a food handler's permit from Cleveland County Health department before hire (or within one week of hire).

Compensation/Benefits

• $22.00-$35.93/hr depending on previous work experience.
