Riverway Clinics has an exciting opportunity for an RN Urgent Care Supervisor to work full-time in our Urgent Care Department at our Anoka, Elk River, and Andover Clinics.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

· Graduate from a Bachelor of Sciences or Arts degree program in business or health-related field or six years of full- time clinical nursing experience.

· Current CPR certification.

· Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Minnesota.

· Current WI Registered Nurse license or obtain within 2 months of hire.

· Two years previous staff supervisory experience.

· Two years leadership/management experience with a healthcare team.

POSITION PURPOSE:

This position will be a working supervisor in the Urgent Care Department at our Anoka, Elk River, and Andover Clinics. Provides leadership, direction, organization, and administration of daily clinic operations in the patient care area. This position works in collaboration with the Clinic Operations Supervisor. Teamwork is the norm, and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members. Excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervision of care delivery staff including: People

· Performs annual performance reviews. Reviews and audits staff workflow and care delivery processes (CMP*) for quality improvement purposes.

· Monitors daily staffing and scheduling issues including vacation and sick time.

· Monitors and provides feedback to staff to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.

· Promotes development of individual staff member’s skill and knowledge levels.

· Hires, coaches, and applies disciplinary process including dismissal of staff/termination.

· Provides training on and monitoring of individual staff job expectations.

· Holds staff accountable for providing excellent patient service and first impressions.

· Performs daily “Rounding” in the care units to provide “in the moment” guidance and to increase local leader visibility.

· Identifies trends affecting patient satisfaction and works within the clinic or region to move negative trends in a positive direction.

· Works with staff and other supervisors to identify opportunities to improve patient satisfaction and experience.

· Includes patient satisfaction data and comments at staff meetings and plans improvement strategies.

· Cooperates and collaborates with Regional Leadership regarding the implementation of any and all service or quality initiatives at the clinic/local level.

Quality and Data: Health

· Works in collaboration with other clinic supervisors, providers, front-line staff and organizational departments to review and interpret quality management data and reports and makes appropriate changes and recommendations to improve outcomes of care.

· Uses quality management tools and measurements provided by expert panels and organizational quality contacts to monitor standards, processes and outcomes of care.

· Facilitates care team meetings in the clinic to share monthly and quarterly findings, gathers care team input to those findings and makes appropriate changes to improve outcomes of care.

· Will be required to join one of HealthPartners Nursing Committees—Nursing Operations, Nursing Education or Nursing Practice Committee.

Financial: Stewardship

· Plans, develops and monitors the budget for their area of responsibility.

· Works collaboratively with the Site Manager, Chief of Professional Services and other supervisors to ensure optimal revenue capture.

· Authorizes expenditures for their area of responsibility.

· Acts as a responsible steward of resources including time, materials, supplies and property.
