Technician and content expert performing core departmental services

ECG diagnostic testing

Holter

cardiac event monitor

mobile continuous telemetry

24 hour blood pressure, monitoring

implantable device assessment/remote
-
expertly managing associated workflow and data with a developed level of service familiarity

Integral member of the Cardiology Department performing specific technical tasks as outlined on the technician’s skills competency check list
-
Accurately documents care provided in patient medical record
-
Stocks patient supplies and assists with inventory
-
Monitors equipment to ensure working order and cleanliness. Enters work orders for broken equipment
-
Cleans exam rooms and equipment between patients as appropriate
-
Other Duties as assigned
Performs a variety of patient care and administrative support functions under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) in an outpatient setting.Some of the major job functions include but are not limited to: -

REQUIREMENTS
-
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

2 years relevant experience preferred

Basic patient assessment skills including primary survey
-
Basic knowledge of primary interventions
-
Demonstrated effective communication skills
-
High level of compassion, desire to help others, and self-confidence
-
Basic computer knowledge with demonstrated administrative skills
-
EMT-B (or higher) or State Certification from Virginia Board of Nursing (Certified Nursing Assistant) preferred.

CET (Certified ECG technician) preferred
-
Current BLS through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
