As a bodily injury claims adjuster in our Commercial Auto Liability Claims organization, you’ll review extended auto liability claims for multiple state jurisdictions, determining the appropriate action for resolution. You’ll have the opportunity to own claims files from beginning to end including investigation, evaluation, and negotiation. You’ll collaborate with customers, claimants, and attorneys to determine coverage, liability, and exposure. Working from a diary system you’ll provide clear and timely documentation of all activities through complete resolution of claims.

This is a remote position.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage lower severity bodily injury claims
  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate all claims to resolution and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all payments
  • Evaluate exposures and maintain accurate reserves on all files
  • Keep claims files documented and updated

Must have qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher or a combined total of 5 years of work experience and/or college education. Must have one year of injury claims handling or work in the insurance industry

Work or educational experience must include:

  • Making decisions
  • Solving problems
  • Planning, prioritizing and organizing
  • Effectively communicating verbally and in writing
  • Customer service.

Preferred skills

  • One to three years of bodily injury claims experience
  • Must have ability to maintain and obtain all necessary adjuster licenses
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships to ensure high quality service
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to manage diary in a virtual environment or claims system

Compensation

  • $51,200 - $68,300/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
