Employment Opportunity:

Seeking a reliable Treasurer to manage the city's financial aspects from water billing to bank account reconciliation. City council will depend on you to report and analyze relevant information. We expect you to be well-informed of billing processes and have a strong ability to report and explain issues to customers and management. The goal will be to provide customer service, build relationships and manage city finances to guarantee the long-term success of business.

Part-Time opening Compensation: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour (DOE)

Responsibilities

• Run and process the city water billing and payments on accounts
• Process collections and shut offs of city water accounts
• Generate payment agreements
• Process new accounts
• Deposit payments
• Record receipts to city accounts and reconcile statements monthly
• Maintain relations with co-workers, council, vendors, banks, contractors, and state agencies.
• Prepare fund reports
• Filing
• Provide outstanding customer service to citizens (in person, by telephone or email)
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills

• Proven experience in a relevant financial role
• Thorough knowledge of accounts receivable practices
• Knowledge of billing software
• Ability to self- motivate
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
• Good with numbers and figures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Well-organized and high attention to detail
• Reliable and dependable
• Excellent decision-making abilities
